My main characters in WORTH THE RISK, Samantha and Dean, both love to travel. The story opens five years after they’ve spent a summer together visiting national parks and traveling from Yosemite to the Badlands. The great outdoors is a big turn-on for Dean and he’s taught Sam to appreciate it the same way. When they reunite, their passion for the environment helps fuel their passion for each other.

Travel is something I long to do more of. I’d love to see all the national parks (Yosemite is the only one I’ve been to). And I’d love to venture out of the country more ~ Paris, Italy, London, Costa Rica, and the Caribbean please (just to name a few). I’ve been to Toronto and Vancouver (loved!), Australia (really loved!), and Mazatlan (college spring break loved!). And my wanderlust is only growing as I get older.

How about you? Where do you want to go?

  1. Traveling is so inspiring – there is something very special and very carefree about it. #1 on my list of places to visit is Nantucket. It plays an important part in one of my books and after researching/writing about it, I want to see it in person SO badly. I’d also love to journey back south. Atlanta and Nashville will always have my heart!

Hi Shari! I hope you get to Nantucket! I didn’t even mention all the other places in the states I’d like to see. Sometimes I dream of taking a year off and just traveling around the world with my family. Wouldn’t that be cool?

Oh, Marilyn, I want to go to New Zealand and Fiji, too! I hope you get to see some of the places you long to visit!

Here in the states, I’d like to see the Grand Canyon, Mt. Rushmore. Abroad, I dream of going to Scotland (I have a fascination with castles), Australia (growing up I always loved reading books with in-depth descriptions of the scenery) and Alaska (I want to see the Aurora Borealis – also because of the wonderful descriptions I’ve read in books that make me want to see it in person)

Hi Cheryl! The Grand Canyon is AMAZING! The first time I saw it, I literally had to catch my breath. And I’m with you on Mt. Rushmore and Alaska! I long to go back to Australia. One of my dearest friends lives in Brisbane and I’m dying to visit her! Oh, and I’ll take Scotland, too. :) I hope you get to see some of these places in person one day!

  3. Come to visit, Robin! I’ll show you several national parks. :-)

I think I’d go just about anywhere, though I do like where I live. I see good things in almost every place I’ve visited, and I think it would be the same for places I haven’t visited, too.
