Today I’m over at the awesome Ramblings From This Chick to celebrate the blog’s 4-year anniversary. And what a celebration it is. It’s a month-long, daily dose of favorite heroes, and today I’m talking about a few of mine. There are daily giveaways and a grand prize giveaway, too, that you don’t want to miss! I’m so happy to have my friend JL Hammer take over my blog this week! Her newest release, NOTHING BUT TROUBLE is out today from Entangled Publishing and she’s celebrating with a giveaway right here! The book sounds so great and I can’t wait to read it! I hope you’ll 1-click just like I did! Take it away, JL…
Thank you to the amazing Robin Bielman for hosting me on this exciting day. NOTHING BUT TROUBLE (Vegas Vixens series book #1) from Entangled Select Suspense is now out! And to make things even sweeter, for a limited time the book is on sale for only .99 cents! I loved writing this story because it has high-stakes danger and a sinfully hot deputy sheriff. I don’t know about you, but I find a man in uniform absolutely tempting.

She took a moment to study the virile man before her. The strippers worked their clients into a mouth-drooling frenzy by a few shakes of their hips and a little lip-gnawing. If Frankie could work her charms on Deputy Malone, he would be at her beck and call. A strange thrill zinged through her.
squared Frankie’s shoulders. With a thrust, she pushed out her well-padded female attributes.
“Can’t we just forget about all this? Couldn’t you just help me get my car out of the ditch and then let me go on my way?” She tried to purr, but it sounded more like she needed a throat lozenge.
Happy almost Halloween! To celebrate, I’m participating along with over 100 other blogs in a blog hop! Talk about spooktacular! There’s giveaways and wicked fun at each stop so be sure to keep reading to find out what I’m giving away and to hop to the rest of the blogs!
Since costumes are a big part of Halloween, I asked a few of my characters what they were dressing up as, and here’s what they had to say…
Luke Watters and Sela Sullivan from Kissing the Maid of Honor:
“Luke is going to be bacon and I’m going to be a chocolate bar,” Sela said.
Luke grinned. “And at the end of the night we’re going to ea–”
Shane Sullivan and Kagan Owens from Her Accidental Boyfriend:
“We’re dressing as James Bond and his Bond girl,” Shane said. “I think I’m gonna get lucky.”
“All you have to do is smile and you get lucky,” Kagan chimed in.
Troy Streiber and Erin Watters from Wild About Her Wingman:
“I’m dressing as a bun maker,” Troy said.
“And I’m going to be a bun in the oven.” Erin was positively glowing as she said this. Hmm…
Zane Hollander and Sophie Birch from Keeping Mr. Right Now:
“We’re doing the devil and angel thing,” Zane said, putting his arm around Sophie.
“Only I’m the devil and he’s my angel,” Sophie added with a sly smile.
“I can’t wait for you to be bad,” Zane added with a definite sparkle in his amazing blue eyes.
Hugh Langston and Tess Damon from Veiled Target:
“We’re going to be pirates,” Tess said excitedly. “I haven’t dressed up since I was little.”
“Aaarrgghh. And ye better be prepared to be boarded,” Hugh said.
“What is it they say? Save a ship. Ride a pirate.” Tess grinned at this.
So did Hugh.
<sigh> I just love all these characters.

I’m going to share my adventures with you here on my blog and on Facebook and Twitter. AND, I’d love to have you join me! It’s always more fun doing things with friends, so if you want to try new things this month too, that would be awesome. Zane, the hero in my latest release, KEEPING MR. RIGHT NOW, holds an extra special place in my heart. Something about him tugged at me from the second he entered my head and I truly feel like I could write several books about him! Instead, I’ve written an extra scene. From his point of view. It delves deeper into his feelings for my heroine Sophie. Deeper into the attachment he feels for her. And I’m super excited to share it with you!
From now until September 7th, I’m taking emails! LOL This content isn’t in the book and is my way of saying thanks to all you awesome readers for your support. The bonus scene takes place in the bedroom and is steamy, so be ready to get a peek inside Zane’s R-rated thoughts. All you have to do to have this special scene delivered to your inbox on September 8th is send an email to email@example.com with the words “I want to be Zaned” in the subject line.
And huge thanks to everyone who has already read the book! I hope you’ll consider leaving me an honest review on Goodreads and the major buying sites. Besides word of mouth, reviews are really helpful to getting the word out about a book. Thank you!
I’m so, so excited that Keeping Mr. Right Now is out today! *bounces up and down* I truly loved writing these characters and this story and hope readers will love Zane and Sophie as much as I do!
And for a limited time the book is on sale for ONLY .99 CENTS!!
Brainy, organized Sophie Birch is no beach bunny. In fact, she’s totally out of her element among the sun-bronzed crowd at a film festival in beautiful White Strand Cove. When a surf lesson introduces her to Zane Hollander, suddenly she’s up close and personal with the world’s sexiest surf star. But what can a great-looking, experienced athlete possibly see in a klutzy out-of-towner who’s never set foot in the ocean?
Zane Hollander’s playboy reputation has never been a problem…until recently. Now his management team wants him on his best behavior to entice a meaningful new sponsor. Sophie Birch is the perfect girl to help reform his image. She’s genuine and respected—and their relationship is purely fictional. But the more Sophie blooms under the beachy sun, the more Zane knows he’ll just break her heart. Because nothing’s more important to Zane than following the tide.
To celebrate my release I’ve also got a *RED-HOT GIVEAWAY*
Want to read the Red-Hot “Morning After” scene from Zane’s point of view? From now until September 7th, I’m taking emails! LOL

You’re just a click away from kisses in the sand… and lots more! ;)
I can’t believe the release of Veiled Target is only 10 days away now! I’m so excited for readers to meet Hugh and Tess! I’ve posted this pic of Hugh before, but I think it bears a repeat posting…
Okay, now that you’ve got a nice visual going, here’s a little sneak peek from Hugh…
Did the damn woman know what she did to him? Her pouty lips and keen eyes with long lashes suggested she did. Women didn’t play fair. “We decided to split up so I could get you back to your car.”
“I don’t need an escort.” She marched past him, shoulders back, head held high.
“Right. So you can sneak around some more. I don’t think so.” He caught up to her. She didn’t fool him. Not for a minute. “I’m taking you back to the bar and you’re going to get into your car and drive home.”
“Excuse me, but—”
“I give the orders,” he interrupted, a smile tugging at his lips.
“You sure as hell—”
“—can give them to you, so be a good girl and let’s get you on your way.”
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed her clench her fists and take a deep breath. She probably thought about hitting him. With his stronger than normal senses, he heard her heart rate speed up, smelled the salty scent of perspiration on her skin. Then she bit her bottom lip in a most distracting manner before speaking again.
“I’ll get myself where I want to go, thank you very much. You don’t get any say.”
“Tonight I do.”
“Tonight you don’t.”
“Do you argue with everyone trying to do a good deed?”
“You’re not doing a good deed. You’re annoying me.” She turned a corner heading in the wrong direction.
“Wrong way, oh wise one.” He snatched her arm to steer her the right way.
She yanked her arm back, but switched her stride. “I knew that.”
“Of course you did.” He glanced at his watch. Time ticked away. Time he should be using to hunt for Trey. He needed to ditch the exasperatingly attractive woman in the blue dress pronto. No matter how much the thought disappointed him.
“I’ll tell you what,” Tess started, “you fill me in on the Night Runners, and I promise I’ll go peacefully.” Her steps slowed. She dragged her feet as if they suddenly weighed eighty pounds each.
“Peaceful or not, I can get you to your car without saying another word.” He would not give her the upper hand.
“Yes, but that won’t stop me from yelling a few choice expletives on our way. I might rouse the neighborhood.” She tossed him a smug look. “And I’ve got news for you—when I’m mad my voice and language can be pretty alarming. I don’t think you want that kind of attention.”
Damn, she was good. Her combative nature and challenge to his authority had him wondering what she’d be like in bed. Bloody hell. Why was he letting his mind wonder there? “Two questions.”
“I beg your pardon?”
“You can ask me two questions that I’ll answer honestly. And then you’ve got to go.”

Have a great week!! Stay tuned for news on my upcoming blog tour with spotlights, interviews, exclusive excerpts, and a giveaway!
I can’t believe that the release of my first paranormal romance, Veiled Target, is only a month away! I’m so excited for readers to meet Hugh and Tess and share their journey to happily ever after. It’s a tough journey! I mean Tess is supposed to kill Hugh. I had such a great time writing a kick-ass heroine. And Hugh? ~sigh~ I really had fun writing the total alpha male. A warrior, leader, the man every woman wants and the guy always in control. Well, until he meets a certain eliminator.
So to celebrate my upcoming release, I thought I’d share a little snippet every week for the next four weeks. AND, I’m going to do a weekly giveaway for those of you that preorder the book. Leave me a comment with proof of your purchase and you’ll be entered into a drawing for a $5.00 Amazon or Barnes & Noble gift card. Every Monday I’ll post a winner’s name in the comments. Your comment is good for the whole four weeks, so if you don’t win the first week, you might win the next time!
And if you’re on Goodreads, I hope you’ll add it to your list and cast your vote, too! Veiled Target is on a bunch of lists HERE and if you’d like to help move it up in the rankings, that would be awesome. I totally squeed when I saw I was on the same list as one of my all time favorite authors, Jim Butcher. I mean, holy crap! Jim Butcher.
As an eliminator, it’s Tess’s job to ensure non humans meet a swift demise, otherwise it’s her head. But when she’s drawn to her next target, and discovers he has information about her fiancé’s murder, her assignment is compromised.
Hugh might be Tess’s next target, but he’s got other ideas. When they’re forced to fight side by side for their lives, he forms an alliance with the captivating beauty. An alliance with explosive consequences as Tess discovers the man who can solve the mystery of her fiancé’s murder is the man she’s supposed to kill.
Have a great week!!
Hey there! Happy June! Let’s kick off the month right shall we? I’m so happy to share that my awesome publisher, Entangled Publishing, is offering a very special Steal & Deal! (Well, special to me.) For one week only my debut book, WORTH THE RISK, is FREE! And for a limited time the second book in my Take A Risk series, RISKY SURRENDER, is only .99 cents!
WORTH THE RISK is about Sam and Dean (not the Supernatural duo). They spent a summer together after college and now five years later, they’re face to face again vying for the same job.
Their love was ancient history…until their paths crossed again
Samantha Bennett put Dean Malloy out of her mind five years ago, when he broke her heart after a summer fling. But now he’s back in her life, and ready to steal a heritage protection contract that could make or break her career–if he doesn’t steal her heart first. Samantha’s vowed to hate him, but it’s more than anger heating the competition between them.
With sparks flying across the conference table and sizzling in every touch, Dean proposes a weekend liaison. Anything to have Sam again; anything to get her out of his system. But the unresolved feelings between them complicate both their personal and professional lives, and one wild weekend could turn into a disaster that would destroy the one job that means more to Samantha than anything. For a shot at love…is it worth the risk?
This book has a really special place in my heart because it was my first one. When I sat down to write it I got to thinking about what my favorite part of any story was and I realized it’s the first kiss. That magical moment when two people can’t keep their hands – or rather mouths – off each other. <sigh>
So, since Sam and Dean’s first kiss takes place five years before the novel opens, I wanted their First Kiss after they meet up again to be really Something. It takes place in a bar and involves a hot sauce game. Here’s a peek…
He cupped her cheek and looked deep into her eyes. “One kiss, Sam. I dare you.”
Damn him. If she didn’t agree, he’d think he won something here, and she couldn’t let that happen. She couldn’t let him beat her over a silly kiss. Especially if he thought his kiss would distract her from the reason she was in town.
“Fine. I’m game.”
Whistles and sighs echoed around their corner of the bar while Joe grabbed two bottles of hot sauce off the table. “The rules are”—he looked at Sam as he spoke—“time starts when I say go. Your lips must stay in contact. Tongue is optional. As soon as you part, time stops. Ready?”
With eyes stuck on each other, they nodded. Joe stood over them with a bottle of sauce in each hand and they simultaneously tilted their heads back to receive several drops on their tongues.
I hope you’ll check out how the kiss went and then go on to read about McCall and Lucy in Risky Surrender. And I’d love to hear about your first kiss! Was it worthy of a second one or did it leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. hee hee Leave me a comment and you’ll be entered to win a Take A Risk Chick T-shirt. The awesome Samanthe Beck has got one and we all want to be like her don’t we? (Thanks, Samanthe, for rocking the shirt and modeling for me!) For all the giveaway details (and chances for extra entries) check out the Rafflecopter below. Two winners will be chosen!
SPECIAL THANKS to Ramblings From This Chick for helping me celebrate today, too!
